For purposes of this section, “order window” refers to the posted deadline on GrowNYC Wholesale’s online ordering platform by which orders must be placed for a scheduled delivery day.

Cancellations of orders of perishable agricultural products are subject to the following fees based on timing:

Cancellations of non-perishable items are subject to the following fees:

Redelivery Fee

A redelivery fee of $19.95 will be charged when the driver arrives at the delivery location during the scheduled delivery window and Customer or Customer’s representative is not present or is not able to accept delivery. GrowNYC Wholesale will attempt same-day redelivery when possible. If redelivery is successful, Customer will be charged for the full order value plus the $19.95 redelivery fee. If Customer subsequently refuses redelivery, the order will be treated as a refused delivery under the cancellation policies above (no refund on order value).

Refusal of Delivery

For purposes of this policy, “refuses delivery” includes situations where: (a) Customer or Customer’s representative explicitly declines to accept products upon arrival, (b) Customer denies driver access to the delivery location, (c) Customer indicates unwillingness to accept delivery after redelivery attempt, or (d) Customer fails to respond to redelivery coordination after missed initial delivery.

Payment of Cancellation and Redelivery Fees

Customer acknowledges that GrowNYC Wholesale sources perishable agricultural products based on confirmed orders and that last-minute cancellations create waste and negatively impact farm partners. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to wholesaleorders@grownyc.org.

Cancellation fees and redelivery fees will be added to the invoice for the affected order. An updated invoice reflecting these charges will be sent to Customer within 24 hours. All fees are subject to the same payment terms as product purchases (Net 30 from invoice date).
